Dr. Malhar H. Dave, M.S., graduated from M. S. University, Baroda and completed his residency in Orthopaedics at Shree Sayajirao General Hospital in 1998 and is presently in solo private practice.
Dr. Dave's clinical and research interests focus on foot and ankle surgery and clinical drug trials. He completed an externship at the University of Rochester, Rochester, New York in 2006.
In recognition of his interest and expertise in foot and ankle surgery, Dr. Dave was awarded the Traveling Fellowship from the American Foot and Ankle Society in 2007. Dr. Dave is the first orthopedic surgeon in India to be awarded this prestigious Fellowship.
In completing this Fellowship, Dr. Dave acquired experience in foot and ankle surgical procedures at Harvard Medical School and Massachussetts General Hospital in Boston, St. Vincent's Hospital in New York and Thomas Jefferson Institute in Philadelphia, among others. Dr. Dave was an invited speaker at the 2007 Annual Meeting of AOFAS, Toronto, Canada.
Dr. Dave's research focuses on non-surgical approaches to plantar fasciitis and he is currently leading a clinical trial utilizing plantar fascia stretching exercises. He is a national faculty in many conferences of foot and ankle and has been the one of the founder organizers of the INDO US FOOT and ANKLE course.
